Traditionally, June has been the month when most couples choose to be married. According to a website the tradition started in the 1500’s in Europe because people took their “annual” bath in May as the weather was warming up. By June they were still fairly clean and smelled pretty good, compared to the rest of the year. Since body odor was beginning to return, the bride carried a bouquet of fresh flowers to cover up the scent. So…June weddings and bridal bouquets started because people only took a bath once a year, in May!!
