The Japanese word "karaoke" translates to "empty orchestra". Karaoke has become a world-wide sensation in many bars, where drunk people get together to listen to each other sing incredibly badly to well-known songs with the lyrics removed. Yes, karaoke pretty much rocks, I guess :)
